I have been making work for over 25 years as a sculptor, crossing over concept and form into my jewellery. Working primarily with iron and gold, I am interested in the disparity between their values; one has a connection with opulence, the other with industry. Each piece of my work is hand forged from wire, I apply 22ct. gold at the final stage, sweating it on to the surface. I work intuitively, exploring form and movement and the joy is being surprised along the way. The materials themselves take part in the shaping of an idea.
